Short Yardage

Can someone explain why we stay in shotgun on short yardage? It drives me absolutely nuts to see us in 3rd & 1 with a chance to ice the game and have DJ go wildcat and lose 3. A QB sneak might not make the 1st down, but it sure won’t lose 3 and is a safer play.

Direct under center snaps are no longer allowed in the Tiger playbook. Obsolete just like old computers.

I’ve noticed most teams do this now and it drives me crazy too. Just run a QB sneak under center.

We do not have the mean, nasty, bulldozer,sob’s on the OL that will do what it takes to get the yard or two. Lack of accountability. It’s just too easy now to just say, “my bad” and then it’s all okay. (Sarcasm, for sure, but zone blocking doesn’t cut it in that situation.)
