Would an ACC Championship

Change your perspective of where the program is at? I think the program is steady but no longer elite. I think many other programs around the country would gladly change positions with Clemson being a 9-10 win season every year, however I know around here that is not good enough. I believe some coaching changes and some recruiting philosophies need to be changed. I think the program can be in worse shape, however I also feel the program has a lot of room to grow. Just wondering if a win next Saturday night would change people's perspectives of where we are at?

Not sure, but would love to win it, again. I think the “elite” teams are gone, in the current college football world.

made, are being made. I think the decommitments this year will be a main driver in that. We did learn we are now offering some recruits NIL deals, something previously unknown. We offered a 3 star QB 350K. When ND offered 550K we backed away. I agree with that. If 3 stars are costing that, we need to save money for higher rated players. Lost the CB/S over 100K to GT. We'll see how that one works our. CB should be a position of depth next year with all the young guys we have. We've heard we upped the offer to keep Amare Adams, our best recruit. So changes have been made, and hopefully with the profit sharing and new focus on NIL, we'll see our recruiting enhanced.
Big question now is will we use the portal? I honestly don't see anyway around it, but we'll see.
As for staffing changes, I'm not sure there. People wanting wholesale changes are not going to get them. WR has improved as talent has improved and looks very strong for next year. RB, Spiller has his top recruit by far coming in, we're not going to mess with that, kid could start at some point next year. TE play is not an issue. OC, unless he takes a HC job, isn't being let go after the statistical jump this year and him being the QB coach. Certainly not firing Luke.
As for Wes, don't see him being fired, but I didn't see Streeter being let go coming either, so who knows? Rest of D staff is pretty highly regarded.
Three things this year has shown. 1) we need more depth, which is where the portal could become reality. 2) We have the QB we need, in spite of the poor decision late yesterday. 3) we should return the bulk of this team, which is good. Could be great again with a few key additions. Going to be an interesting few months.
Now, be SMU and make the playoffs!

No. Can’t win games that matter anymore. Whether it’s coaching talent or both.

You think this year was disappointing wait till next year. If no matter changes, both staff and philosophy wise are made this off season and all we get is more status quo, well....its going to get really bad here.

If we beat SMU, end up in the playoff then won the first playoff game then I would say it would be the attitude adjustment I needed.

The program is in a downward spiral that could’ve been avoided. And it won’t come out of that spiral until Dabo makes changes that you mentioned (NIL/Portal usage, coaching changes, etc).

Just have to be happy to have good not great team. Nothing wrong with that, but Clemson lost its edge and it’s hard to get it back. DJ set team back at just the wrong time and then the game did a 180 w NIL and Dabo was way too slow to react. The tigers caught lightning in a bottle w Watson and Lawrence back to back, but that was then, this is now.

Yes because a championship is hard to win. It would give us 10 wins. We would be in the playoffs. The optics would change for the better. Everyone whining about not being good enough say not winning the conference is better. That's absurd. You never want to miss a chance to win because it is hard to win. The days of Clemson being a dynasty may be over but we can still be very good year over year. We would be technically very good if we win our conference, even if everyone's feelings are hurt.
