They missed two targeting calls of players hitting him. They’re creating a free for all environment.

He’d have to prove intent, which there is none. Just missing a call doesn’t reach the threshold for malicious intent.

Just to be devil’s advocate, negligence could be a cause for action. I have no idea what kind of rights they waive with their scholarships though.

Please don't speculate on the law when you don't know what you're talking about. There's such a thing as assumed risk.

Um, I acknowledged that they may have waived some rights, or assumed risk, when they sign on to play. In fact, I know they did. I just have no idea what the particulars of such waivers are for playing NCAA sports. Not sure why you felt the need to be so aggressive when you obviously didn’t even process my whole (very short) post where I also said I was playing devil’s advocate. If the league or NCAA is not upholding their obligations to player safety there COULD be cause for action. I wasn’t advocating it and I wasn’t asserting anything affirmatively.

Let’s get the dirty laundry of the ACC officiating out of the closet.

Today's athletes are protected by some different things. I was just thinking tbe same thoughts. If you bring a lawsuit for negligence it raises awareness to what is tbe worst conference for officials in tbe country. Maybe at least the compromise would be tbe coaches can throw a red flag for the play to be looked at for targeting. That guy lead with his head and targeted the head. Tbat official looked right at it and never flinched. That is negligence.

Discovery could allow you to review the weekly complaints submitted by the schools. If you could demonstrate that a crew with a propensity to miss targeting calls continued to be trotted out without correction or oversight by the league you’d have a pretty slam dunk case. Assuming players haven’t waived right to sue or agreed to arbitration. But negligence can often create an exception to those terms.

fixed it where you review it after the call? to prevent refs from being hesitant from throwing the flags? by reviewing it is to guide them to throw the flag then clean it up in the review if they need to do so

Very intentional. No flag. We have to replace center and miss the 3rd down.

That to me was strange
