In no way am I defending her because her actions led to her death, but it's also crazy that Kyle Rittenhouse killed two people.. walked down the street with an AR, passed law enforcement and made it all the way back home before he was arrested. That in itself is a police issue.

That guy with the hand gun thought he was about to stop an active shooter. Also, Rittenhouse opened up before he saw that guy.

It's actually what his girlfriend said. He basically told her something to the effect of: "I gotta go stop that guy", and went off and got himself killed.
He thought it was an active shooter situation.

Is fine, as I don’t know her.....would it be any less of a self-defense scenario on KR’s part?
It doesn’t matter what the other people thought when it comes to self defense. If I was going pheasant hunting and you saw me carrying a rifle in a field and presumed I was heading to shoot up a school, your thought process wouldn’t matter if I shot you when you charged at me with a gun or other dangerous object.

Off topic, but I'm wondering why the cop did not taze her? I suppose it may be because 1) he did not have a tazer and/or 2) tazers do not always stop someone in their tracks.

With the opportunity to watch the videos and think it through...I'm not sure he was close enough to use a taser...and a gun has more shots than a taser (in case he missed). Maybe a taser wouldn't have been enough to keep her from getting one swing in with the knife...I don't know.

The situations you bring up are completely different...happened in different places...and with different police forces.
Comparing dissimilar situations in an attempt to make some point about race only serves to inflame passions of people not willing to apply critical thinking.
Frankly, I don't even see how the Columbus shooting can have anything to do with race. Why isn't the race of the girl the officer saved from being stabbed a point of discussion. "White cop saves black teenager from being stabbed" is an extremely accurate depiction of what happened.
