they hope that the UNC and Duke rivalry doesn't fall victim to conference expansion (UNC going to Big Ten and Fox). Hypocrites of the highest order.

I think they are serious to an extent, as are all college basketball fans that have been around a bit. That would be a shame if the rivalry ended. They can still play each other every year though at least once even if they weren't in the same conference.
