I'll have you know there's 5 stars on the recliner in my den and I'd be having NONE of that kind of tom-foolery and shenanigans going on during practice under MY watch, is what I'm saying!

You ain't human if you think you can have over 50 men together for days and days and going against each other without some kind of tussle.

between a typical helmet on football fight where guys can take out some frustration without major injuries...
...versus a rip the helmet off and starting center get concussed type of fight.
No problem guys fighting. Hate to see the same team caused injury.

Who doesn't hate to see an injury?, but if you're OK

with fighting then injury is a real, possible outcome and one of the assumed risks.
Similar to driving.

Fights with helmet on = similar to driving
Fights ripping helmet off = driving without seatbelt
Sure, nothing might happen. But your risk of injury are increased.

ignition, but you still do it.
You approve of fighting and you assume the risk, helmets come off or you break a hand hitting someone with a helmet.
Either don't drive or don't fight, anything can happen when you do either.

I got into two fights while playing football and both were during practice. It happens. People get tired of hitting the same people over and over in 100 degree weather and tempers flare.

if a fight at Gamecock practice had ended

in a starter getting gashes and a concussion how many of you would be saying the same thing you are saying now? It would be all "Boom bus already lost control of his team!" "Typical ##### fighting each other" etc etc. while it happens at Clemson and it's a sign of toughness and fire. Guys can get pissed off without having fire in the belly.

Thanks for attempting to put words in peoples mouths. You're a football expert and a psychic??? who knew?
IDGAF what the cluckers do....HTH
You are obviously one of the people I was referring to in my OP. I'd HIGHLY doubt you've ever played football competitively. Otherwise you'd know/understand that camp/practice fights happen a lot more often than the casual fan realizes. Lord forbid something violent occur in a violent sport....It is a part of football(A physical/violent sport) and as someone who played many years in the trenches I'd much rather have a teammate that isn't scared to mix it up vs someone that's going to back down and walk away like a wuss.

I'm sure there are plenty of scuffles and fights at practice

but how many of those end in a concussion? Injuring teammates beyond just a few scratches and bruises is definitely not a good thing. Especially since a concussion could become a season long re-occurring issue. I mean nothing Dabo can do about it now, it happened but I wouldn't call this a good or funny thing.

Dear Lord....Do you think pagano meant to hurt him like that? Of course not. but when you've got 2 big, strong dudes that aren't going to back down sh!t can happen. It's unfortunate Guillermo ended up hurt like that, but it is funny(especially to us that have been a part of or around similar situations and understand first hand how it goes) and it is a dang good thing that you have 2 big mean dudes that aren't going to take sh!t from anybody. They're called big nasties for a reason. If you don't have that mentality/mean streak you aren't going to be very good at what you do.
