ACC schools judged by lowest

I believe attendance is the greatest factor in building

their rep. Historically the stadiums are large throughout, full with rabid fans...so its difficult to win on the road. The crowds make it entertaining to watch on tv and therefore more marketable. Talent... sure but there are talented players across the country and play for a lot of different teams. Recruits know that every game is televised for every major collegiate team.

The top half of the conference is what separates the SEC from other conferences.

The vanderbilts, Kentuckys and South Carolinas aren't what make it the best conference.

That would be Alabama this season everyone else was middle of the road, average and pedestrian. But mostly the SEC sucked this season

The SEC was down this year for sure.

But you're getting close to that coot logic. One year doesn't erase history.

Really? Let's look at the facts.

Dec 17, 2015, 3:09 PM [ in reply to Re: SEC myth in a nutshell ]

Records of the top half of the P5:

Big10 - 70-16 81%
Big 12 45-13 78%
ACC 64-22 74%
SEC 64-22 74% (used 8-4 TAMU since 8-3 LSU didn't play 12 games)
PAC12 53-21 72%

Looks to me like the top half of the SEC is tied with the ACC for 3rd.

That is true. The big thing is. Its all about money. They have more fans that bring in that money. Same reason we would jump over other teams for better bowl games. We sold the bowl out. So that where it starts , but ESPN has blown it out of proportion. But every conference has good teams at the top.
