SEC bias flying high

According to ESPN:

The top opening favorites for the Heisman next year
1. Arch Manning +750, Texas.
2. Garrett Nussmeier +800, LSU.
3. Nico Iamaleava +1100, Tennessee.

These guys are followed by Cade Klubnik (+1200) and Penn State's Drew Allar (+1200).

First of all, all these guys got nuthin on Cade. We hardly saw Arch Play, Garrett was Hot when he was Hot but cold when he was cold. And Nico was nothing special, I wouldn't even imagine him sitting in the Heisman ceremony. I honestly would take LaNorris over any of those guys. On top of all that, Klubnik is even better than Norris and the rest of these guys. But there is one guy who isn't even on this list who I think would give all these guys a run for their money and that's Jeremiah Smith. I think he should no Doubt be top 3 and seeing him at 1 or 2 would not surprise me. Manning, Nussmeier, and Iamaleava all have lots to show before they should even be considered so seeing them at top 3 is absolutely CRAZY!

The Heisman has been dead to me after it was stolen from DW4***

Exactly, the same with me also, and it really died when TL16 didn't get it and winning the NCG in his freshman season with a 15-0 team!!! What Trevor done in his freshman season spelled Heisman in every definition of the word!!!

Well, I'm sure that wasn't a surprise coming from ESECPN, it was right on time IMO!!!

Manning has never been a starter except when injuries occurred. No doubt he will be a good one but not Heisman quality yet. The Heisman committee is a joke and dances to whatever music ESecPN and the NCAA are playing. I sent a letter to them saying just that when Watson didn't win the Heisman. I know it fell on deaf ears but I also told them they were not qualified to be on the committee. Never got a response but they did not care. The checks were already in the bank.

These are gambling odds.

It isn't a safe bet to put money on a Clemson QB racking up enough stats to win this award.

Clemson will never win a Heisman because .....

It's nothing but a popularity contest and stats war. Dabo does not allow his players to build huge stats . He would rather let backups get experience and protect starters from injury. I agree with him. Do Heisman's win Championships????

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No but it would be nice to remove the one bragging right the coots have***

This is Vegas data. They are in the money making business…not the bias hype business.

Popularity contest. Of course a Manning is atop that list***

A (current) SEC team's player has won the Heisman 6 out of the past 8 years.
