We got him of course ...but with the guys we have as incoming fresh and our soph/juniors we are deep and talented at the LB for the time being. We need to be landing high prospect OL in my opinion.

We just haven't signed any. It is clearly our biggest weakness in terms of raw talent, especially at DE. FSU seems to get 2-3 every year and we can't seem to land a single one. Frustrating.
Have a shot(legitimate shot) at the #1 OL next year though.

sure agree!! we will NEVER get to where we want without TOP O/L men!! IMHO our O/L recruiting is by far the weakest area.I also do not see that this lack seems important????

My comment is based strictly on current listed depth chart.

There are guys who will surely emerge during the season, but for now, those 2 spots seem to have the least depth.

Where do you get we lack depth on the OL. I think you need to go look at our roster a little closer.

Winning BIG against UgAy

could speak volumes to this young man.
It all starts August 31st.
We show him a bigtime atmosphere and a convincing win against an "SEC" team, and we get him.
BEAT UGaY!!!! - Go Tigers!!!

Is a must. I think it is the most important game not only in recruiting termsnow but also for the next few yrs. Clemson is a school that attracts kids and beating back that "yeah but the $EC " perception starts with consistently beating upper echelon teams.

Is our defense improving vastly (which they have) he has said that he doesn't want to join a team that lights up the scoreboard but the defense can't keep the other team from scoring. We need our defense to lock in this season to get this kid.

McMillan is definitely a priority for us

We are extremely deep on the d-line, and we don't even have any seniors. If we land 1-2 DEs this cycle (which we will), we will be in excellent shape. As for OT, we are completely fine there as well. We have tons of depth on the o-line, and OT may be one of our most talented positions, we just don't have a ton of experience. I believe that Battle, MacLain, and Gore are all future stars at the position. Factor in that we are already in great standing for potentially the top OT prospect in the nation in Mitch Hyatt (2015) and we will be fine there.
Raekwon is an elite prospect, he is who we should be focused on right now.

I would love to get him, because I see him as a great player, and he would fit our system to a T, but you are right that we are filling our roster in those critical areas with quality depth. That is what has been missing for a long time.

Is there any room for him in this class anymore? I know we're hard after him, a couple DE's and TJ Quinn, but the number of scholarships left aren't in our favor. We NEED him and a DE, maybe not so much Quinn, but I'd love to have him too. Any ideas on who we land before signing day and how many at the max we take?

Just my opinion

I think Mr.McMillian will probably be a good player for Alabama or Ohio State. Now as far as Clemson goes I think that we have done enough. We offered him a scholarship and a chance to be a part of this years National Championship team. You can't do anymore than that. So I say that if he doesn't want to be a part of our team, then we don't want him here. Let's just concentrate on those 3 & 4 star players that want to be here, and let's make them feel welcome and wanted instead of wooing other players that aren't all in.

He is a five star player. He is an impact/elite player. We have not done enough. This guy has offers from all over the country, we can't get offended just because he likes other schools. We are still in his top 5, all of his friends are still committed here, we are still very much in the game for him. As much as I love Clemson, we are not good enough (nor is any other team in the country for that matter), to just throw out offers to the top kids and expect them to be "all in" and immediately commit to us and shun all other schools. It is just not realistic.
