I know people have tried finding video and can't but I stumbled upon these on the TNet gallery from Saturday. DS said it was just "in game stuff" but it obviously got his attention when it happened. Tensions get crazy on sidelines. Good coaches know to leave it there and keep working to get better.

he's been the only coach other than Dabo screaming since Venables left
its easy to point to his room and blame him -- but look , he literally only has 3 stars playing for him. every other position group has 2 five stars on roster

Well part of his job is find better players for his room and develop them. doing a poor job in this respect it seems

Safety hasn’t been an issue.
Something in the new scheme is getting the guys confused. Same coach, mostly same players, different results.

This has been one of my thoughts all along. No knock on Conn he seems to have done what was expected of him during his tenure. Can't help but wonder about differences in roles, terminology, calls, etc. between Allen and Wes. No way guys like Conn, Reed, Eason and Rumph have just all of a sudden become terrible coaches. Allen came in late and inherited a staff. We'll see how this shakes out end of season.

If I am not mistaken Van Smith said these type of things about Conn (inabilty to develop players, not knowledgeable on techniques) years ago and he was vilified and labeled as being a malcontent. Maybe, just maybe there was some truth in what he was saying. Something to think about.

Let me get this straight...you think because Conn screams he's a good coach? If this logic made sense Dabo should have went down the rode to Parris Island and got some US Marine Drill Instructors. Screaming makes a good coach
That's about the dumbest sh!+ I've ever heard. Conn has been given every opportunity to fail and he has delivered. He can't recruit & #### sure he isnt developing any players. As Co-DC he was horrible but somehow Wes was fired and he still has a job. Now he's the passing game coordinator and the pass defense is terrible. But as I always say....he is Dabo's best friend. So you are defending him by stating that he doesn't have the talent at safety, but yet he is responsible for acquiring that talent? Safety has been a position of concern since he took over coaching that group.

Grayson GA.... We hired him when we were going for Nkmdeechee and also got Wayne Gallman and Chase Brice.
Chef is from there too... he was in 2nd grade when we hired Conn, but you could tell then, he was a TE in the making.

We were 0-1 because of Cade. We were 1-2 because of Cade. We were 1-3 mostly because of Cade, albeit Syracuse ran roughshod over the defense. After we beat UNC and BC, we would have been 5-1 or 6-0 if Cade played to his potential. Cade was our issue. That’s an accurate statement.
I never said ALL anyone needs is a great QB. I said you can’t be great without a great QB.
So you can stop with this silly misquoting nonsense now.

Correct, you never said all that is needed is elite qb play.
What you did say on every. Single. Post. Sometimes 3-4 times, copy and pasted was that the team was fine. No coaching issues. No talent issues. At least three times you were gaslighting others saying “if we had good qb play no one would be saying anything about coaching, talent, portal”, etc. Every single poaster that disagreed saying it’s been a trend or happening since 20-21 it was “bAd qB”.
You still cannot fathom there are issues coaching. Or, you just can not bring yourself to the possibility of being wrong. This, you get made fun of.

I mean, if it’s not talent, it has to be coaching. Or motivation, which means coaching. Or execution, which means coaching. The conundrum Mikey is in is that it can be none of them based on his views. If it’s talent, then the portal is viable. (He STILL hasn’t figured out that graduating and going pro starters can, in fact, be replaced by a portal player). In his deeply non-analytical brain, only portal out players can be replaced by portal in players.
I guarantee you the “we are a young team” thing he sticks to and believes. That it just is what it is. Does not realize 8 portal out players that are developing (he thinks development is great here)being replaced by freshmen late-signees from Daniel is a net negative.
I really should stop picking on the guy.

Is speed a talent? When the safeties don't have the speed, it's a recruiting issue whether it be from high school or the portal. Has Conn ever asked Dabo to go after a safety from the portal?
