Wasn't the officer involved injured a little. What's that worth to him?

His pride, probably. Why was he hanging on the car? The officer actually was disciplined for procedure/body cam violations.

I don't see how he could have been hanging on the car unless it was the outside mirror. Cars are made sleek to slip through the wind and there is nothing top grab on to.

The window was down and the cop had reached in and grabbed Scheffler.

Who covers re-imbursement for the $600 police pants, that were irreparably harmed by this incident? The taxpayers again???

Just like the destruction of property that led to the “felony” charges was torn pants leg. SMH

The video footage was atrocious.
It's the reason why most normal people are losing respect for police officers.
That officer falsified a police report and should be fired and charged appropriately.

The agreement was neither party would pursue charges against the other. Scottie isn't going to sue them, and they are probably pretty happy about that.

Scheffler should have sued them for trying to grab his arm. He could claim an injury that has affected his career. And he could have gotten most of the players to stand with him that they would never set foot in Kentucky again.
We've got many good men and women on police forces. Wannabee's like this clown give them all a bad name.
Louisville got off easy on this disaster.

Shows Scottie talking to another LEO after he was stopped. Scottie kept trying to explain what he did and why he did it. LEO was polite, but his focus was on telling Scottie he was in the wrong.
I suspect that two things happened for the DA to drop the charges.
1. Looking at the evidence, there was not nearly enough to get a conviction. 2. Off the record, other LEOs on the scene verified Scottie's story and let the DA know the officer way over the line and over reacted to the situation.

********* “Based upon the totality of the evidence, my office could not move forward in the prosecution of the charges filed against Mr. Scheffler,” O’Connell said Wednesday during a court hearing. “Mr. Scheffler’s characterization that this was a ‘big misunderstanding’ is corroborated by the evidence.” *********
Translation: The officer(s) on the scene blew it.

I'm usually pro-cop, as I have a nephew on the force and I know he's a good guy, but there are goobers who wear a badge and we saw one in action right here.
I don't know if firing is the right response, but he should get some unpaid time off to think about falsifying another report.
