Clemson wins out until the ACC Championship. Where they play Miami.
Clemson then loses to Miami. Not getting the automatic bid into the CFP.
Clemson has 2 losses.
And to be honest, if this happens, we won’t have really good wins unless Louisville ends up decent. Or if we absolutely blow out everybody.
With teams like Ole Miss, Tennessee, etc., we know that the 5-11 seeds are going to be tough to get.
Could we get in that way?

Do you think we would deserve to be in with a loss to UGA and a loss to Miami?

Very possible. However, this is our 3rd game, so I'm going to let the season

It’s a 12-team playoff
Our deservingness relies on the other 6 teams in the 5-11 spots. Not just getting into the one spot left like in the 4-team playoff.
I remember when we lost to Pittsburgh in 2016. Felt like disaster.
That same week, we were #2 I think, #2 Clemson, #3 Michigan, and #4 Washington all lost that week.
Just interesting how that played out.
My point is it deserving was only relies upon who Clemson is compared with on selection day. And it’ll be easier because there are more spots.

As long as we're in the ACC, we will have to win the conference to get in.***

true because as someone above stated, probably will not play another ranked team unless Louisville holds or VT earns way back into poll

No. Playoff will be
1. SEC champ 2. B1G champ 3. ACC champ 4. B12 champ
Note 1/2 may swap (unlikely) and 3/4 may swap.
5. SEC 6. SEC 7. SEC 8. SEC 9. SEC (or Notre Dame) 10. B1G (or SEC) 11. B1G (or SEC) 12. Best Go5 Champ
"There are no limits on the number of teams that are allowed to compete in the bracket from each conference..."
We could see 8 SEC teams, but without a doubt the SEC gets AT LEAST 5 teams (champ + 4 'at large'). B1G will without a doubt get the remaining 'at large' bids.
About the only way the ACC gets two bids: two teams like, say Clemson and Miami, are undefeated before the ACC Championship game, with Clemson having beaten SEC #1 in early season game, and Miami having defeated SEC #2 (or maybe B1G #1) early in the season. And then the ACC CG has to be a slugfest down to the wire (think Rocky 2). Maybe, just maybe, the ACC would get two teams in. I don't see any other way the ACC ever gets two teams in while ESECPN exists.

If we win out we should be top 10 by ACCCG. Miami should be top 5 if undefeated. Losses to #1 and #5 with 11 wins should get our ticket punched. I guess it depends on Miami’s record. Are you assuming them to be 13-0?
