Saw a car pull into my driveway and told my wife someone was at the wrong house

Wife said I needed to go to the door. Grumbling about having to get up but I did. A lady ask me my name and said she was from Honor Flight Chicago and wanted to put a sign in my yard depicting my service during the Vietnam era, and also said that I would be flying to Washington, DC as soon as the flights started back. Another surprise from my wife. It really brought tears to my eyes.

Thanks for your service. Tried to get my MIL on a flight for her service in WWII but her health let her down. Never made it. Got speed for you and your family.

Hope you have a great time on the Honor Flight.
My friend’s Dad went a few years ago. His brother was able to go as well. They are both WWII veterans. They said it was awesome.
