Sapakoff quote from this morning's column

Nov 26, 2015, 9:43 AM

From "How They Fell So Fast"

"They made people forget that the 42-11 run from 2010-2013 was the historical aberration, not 7-6 or 3-8."

The they he was talking about were a group of 7 players the coots had during that time. Classic quote, I love it.

Here's my favorite from David Cloniger at The State

"It’s so dark in Columbia right now, a bat just crashed into the stadium."

just saying....

yes, it would be nice for the Coots to recognize their place in the world. I guess so long as the Tigers keep reminding them Coots who they are that will be about as good as we can do though.

Of course the same could also be said about a few Tiger football fans who are, shall we say, a bit demanding. Everyone needs to realize that Dabo is taking us through a 2nd round of Football fame now that is above and beyond the historical trend for Clemson. To put it another way, if you look at winning %, bowl games, and victories over USuCk, Tommy Bowden was historically par for the course at Clemson, yet he got run off. It is true that he didn't deliver the ACC Championships that former coaches Howard and Ford did, so I guess there is that...

So one hopes that Tiger fans everywhere are appropriately thankful for what we have now.

And while we're on the subject, it's also appropriate to note that Brad Brownell's rate of success with the Basketball program is well within historical expectations of the Clemson program, even as the mindless few warble on about both real and imagined issues with Brownell.

Again, just saying....
