I noticed on the final SMU drive Peter Woods was on the bench for multiple snaps. A total head scratcher for me.

Can’t attest to all the plays, but PW pulled himself on the last drive. He was gassed.

Yes he was gassed. That long chase of QB play and he was struggling. He needed to rest

A big part of the problem was that SMU was the first true hurry-up no-huddle (HUNH) offense that we played against all year.
SMU would not substitute offensive personnel, and thus our opportunity to substitute on defense was constrained.
Our only substitutions in defense … especially when SMU’s HUNH offense was racking up first downs … was when play was stopped when by a player got injured or when the refs reviewed a play.
P.Woods tapped out at one of those rare stoppages in action. It wasn’t easy to get him back in.
Oh yeah, after SMU scored and we had another 4th Qtr three and out there was an opportunity for Woods to be put back in the game.

Yep they were running tempo, which has been our Achilles heel for oh the last 20 years or so. Good coaching by SMU. All the teams I hate would have just signaled in for the defense to fake injuries to slow it down but Dabo is above those kinds of tactics. Makes me proud to be a fan. Integrity matters.

Started rushing just 3 because they obviously needed to pass. Those guys ran a lot of plays in a short time and the DL was wore down.

I was telling family last night about him. Dude is going to wreck havoc the next two years. Glad he's on our side.

He seems like more of a Raptor R kind of guy. Or maybe a Peterbilt.

Going to take Carter’s spot next year and will be a big upgrade because he has a better feel for the game. Great instincts and athleticism will propel him to unique greatness.
If he can stay healthy, he can be a Luke Kuechley style. And Luke is among greatest ever and might be best sideline to sideline linebacker to ever play.
Go Sammy, huge game and big win last night!!!
