What makes you think he doesn’t let GR run the offense?

I think there are a few things:
1. Dabo's comment about how they're running Clemson's offense, not Riley's. 2. E Mac saying that he thought Dabo was doing a lot of the play-calling. 3. Dabo often having the playbook in his hands and speaking into the mic. Even if he's just providing "input," Riley can't exactly ignore his boss. 4. Our offense looking a lot like it did last year and the year before, when we know Dabo was involved. 5. Our offense looking nothing like TCU or SMU's when Riley had the reins (obviously, some depends on personnel, but they're not even close). 6. Things like Dabo doing huddles and not huddles. 7. Dabo's weird gag order about the coordinators talking to the media outside of specific instances.
None of those are determinative on their own. But multiple data points and now you have a line.
That's why a lot of people think Dabo is involved in the offensive playcalling. FWIW I think it's probably more like Dabo puts a thumb on the scale (but see the problem with 3) rather than doing all the playcalling. I see an improvement in our playcalling since Streeter, even if it's still too much Dabo.

With the exception of Brown and Stellato (who was hurt last year) it’s pretty much the same ineffective players from last year.

He IS the head coach! What should be do.? Stay away? Tell the guys to listen to the other coaches.? How about doing nothing! I expect he was encouraging the players and to depend on the D cord.

I’ve also seen Dabo huddle up with the defense at times. I don’t read to much into it.

I remember him doing it with the defense when Venables was here. Venables didn't like it at all, his looks could've killed...
