he needed to change it up on offense was the fact that we only scored about 7 points more per game in 2022 than 2021. People forget the amount of injuries we had in 2021 (only 59 scholarship players available during the bowl game that year with the majority of them starters or on the 2 deep).

YES we had a lot of injuries, but if you HONESTLY looked at our Offensive Skilled roster.........mainly WR you could see that even IF healthy........it didn't matter b/c they weren't/aren't that good anyway (COMPARED to our "ELITE" years)

Taylor was hurt........so what?
Stellato was hurt.......so what?
Spector was hurt........so what?
Decari off/on..........so what?
Williams hurt...........so what?
I may have missed some, but you get the point............it's not like we had Justyn Ross or Mike Williams or Tee Higgins injured. That's why THIS YEAR wasn't much better...........because we LACK TALENT at WR........still do, but hopefully Riley/Klubnik can help mask that to an extent.

It was an excuse in 2021, not 2022. 2022 had far fewer injuries which is why 7 points more a game wasn't close to being enough. at least 38 points/game is the standard for the offense.

for the last couple of years.
Firing Streeter and hiring Riley is a very encouraging sign.
I still think we have a lot of unqualified position coaches, as well as unqualified defensive coordinators. Time will tell if Riley can overcome all of that.

That's fine. For the record he's 8-6 against the dirt peckers. Glad he's salty. Got his OC. Now needs to channel his energy into some foot speed at WR and DB along with a better O line and some depth at linebacker. It's a rebuilding year.
