when I was real young, no Mets, my brother loved the Yanks and they were on TV the most. Some great teams. Back in those days, WS were day games, come home from school and watch WS baseball.

I still don't think Eric Davis gets enough credit for being as good as he was. I remember thinking of him along the same lines as Daryl Strawberry and Ken Griffey Jr.

Chipper was great, Andruw Jones was the first “kid” that I saw playing a major league sport and crushing it, Dale Murphy was my fave growing up, I loved Ron Gant, David Justice, Sid Fuggin Bream, Steve Avery, Terry Pendleton, Otis Nix, Javy Lopez, Smoltzey, Glavine, even Freddie Freeman, did I say Steve Avery yet, ooh I forgot McGriff, and Blauser, and Kelsko. But then I think of the young blood Ron Acuna Jr… he was raw when he came in. He pissed the whole MLB world off. And all he did was ball out. He may have been the best of all time. I don’t know. There’s too many to choose from.

day when Glavine, Maddux and Smoltz were taking turns trying to outdo the other with masterful pitching performances day in and day out. Some really subpar offensive Braves teams went deep into the postseason due to those three Hall of Famers. And, Maddux was the Picasso of them all. Watching him pitch was a true Master Class in the art of making Major League beisaball players look like fools.
