If she's that upset about a balloon, can you imagine if someone took her kid's lunch money?
Republican outrage is hilarious because they find some pretty silly things to get outraged about. As if level of expressed anger equals actual policy.
You know the Chinese look at us through satellites every day, right?
People get that if we just blow it out of the sky we'll likely as not destroy any valuable info that can be gathered from it's contents?
But let's just Twitter about it, because that really impresses some people.

And it turns out it's not a "nothing burger" after all, at least according to our Secretary Of State, who now calls it "irresponsible and unacceptable" and a "serious violation of our sovereignty". Yet, we are to believe that there is just nothing we can do about it. If so, what is to stop them from sending more and more?

If they want to retrieve it, there aren't a lot of options right now. If they start routinely floating them over here, yeah, shoot 'em down. (Believe me, I am surprised that there aren't good ways to retrieve these things - but when they are that high, you can't just grab it with a fighter jet.)
We've said it was unacceptable from jump. Nikki added nothing to the conversation. I think the greatest country on earth doesn't need to use "blow it up" as the first option every chance we get. We're being patient and the Chinese are embarrassed.
