"to get away from football". This does not sound good. If he were committed he would be working on his passing and timing with the receivers, studying his playbook, pumping iron, and doing that thing with the two ropes where you make them go up and down like a couple of snakes.
Walking around in the woods is not any of these things, and I am not sure how it is going to help against hurricanes.

He said multiple times he’s going to be working and watching film. The headline did exactly what they wanted it to though, create outraged toward a 19 year old kid which is they need in order to make a living.

The rope thingy is vital to core/leg/arm strength no doubt.
But hiking up/over/around Mountains can also be good for ankle/leg/calf strength.
While I like these young guys to enjoy life and have fun, I can also agree that maybe working on the chemistry/timing with receivers and running backs and Oline could really help the football team.
Either way Cade, stay on the trails and avoid bears.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger, except bears....they will kill you so no f'ing around with them.

Do you live his life? Do you balance college classes at a great University along with practice, film, and games every week of your life?
No. Besides, hiking does not take an entire day.
A typical fan’s perspective that is not understanding of what these players go through.

That moving the ropes up and down to look like snakes was not good enough for Cade so he went to find some real snakes and move them up down to look like snakes.
