If we can get back to normal shooting and away from ACC Tournament Refs,

We can make a nice run in tha dance. That region ain’t super bad. Houston is very good, but they are more of a defensive, gritty team like us. We probably match up fairly well with them.

Well said. Of all the teams likely to stand in Clemson's way of making it to the final 4, Houston is the most formidable in my opinion. I respect that team a lot; they do play great defense. I think the Tigers deserved a 4-seed, but it appears they got a favorable path, so that actually shouldn't matter. Purdue doesn't scare me; I think they're an overrated 4. Clemson has already proven they can beat Kentucky. Tennessee will probably slip up like usual before getting to the elite 8, and even if they do, I think they are far from unbeatable. I'm certainly not afraid of Georgia. Gonzaga would concern me some if they made it through, but they'd have to make it past Houston first. In my mind, those are all the teams worth mentioning that Clemson would potentially have to face prior to the final 4. All in all, I think that potential sweet-16 matchup with Houston would be the most difficult challenge in getting there.

I don't think they did. We were probably a bubble 6seed based off our net, ken pom, but mainly sos. We played a lot of 3 an 4 quad teams. Our q2 wins were high net wins.
We played 4/5 tournament teams. One of which is unc, a play in team. Many who think they shouldn't be. So our record against tournament teams is 3-3. It looks pretty clear they followed the net close. We have a first round team that should be a 15 seed.
I agree with his analysis. Out of all regions, we really got an easy path. At least until the 8.

Losses are supposed to mean something but they don't in the metrics for SEC teams. Over the last 5 tournaments the ACC has had "down years" but leads in winning percentage and Elite 8 appearances by 2.
The metrics are weighted to the beginning of the season because those results are compounded the rest of the year. It's a stupid way to do things and that is why the results by conference in March and April never match the metrics.
