Rewatching some old games

17

May 4, 2023, 7:30 PM

Even with a close loss, CJ Spiller's 2009 ACCCG performance might be the best performance of all time. He was the ONLY thing we had, GT knew it and still we didn't punt all night. 233 yds 4 TDs 12 YPC.

What would you consider the greatest single player performance of all time?

I would add

Sammy's performance vs Ohio State.

Justin Ross vs Bama his freshman year was awesome.

Beat the socks off of the best ever Bama defense. Coulda scored 50.

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

Watch Homer Jordan in the Natty. You will see vestiges of DW4 and Mike Williams.

Was definitely up there. Still have the VHS I bought at the athletic shop

I was there. He was amazing. Tigers

Should add that as an acc title since ga tech was stripped of it by using ineligible players. Shocker I know.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That ineligible thing is ridiculous.

The player sold his jersey. That’s nothing compared to the #### that goes on today.

Won't say greatest of all time, but Deshaun on the torn ACL against the chickens was impressive.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

Lookup Sammy's stats at Maryland game. He refused to lose!

I knew there was one I was missing. That is top 3. Dominated the whole game and the kickoff return was the icing on the cake. Great call

You almost HAVE to put Doug Flutie refusing to lose in

the Hail Mary game up there. I thought that game was over about five times before it actually was.

Was strictly taking Clemson games, but that was a great one.

Statistically not up there but

Tajh Boyd's LSU game is probably the best display of toughness I've ever seen on a Football field. He was no doubt concussed most of the 3rd and 4th Quarter. Took a beating and threw that absolute rope to Nuk on 4th down. That game signaled that we were ready as a program to make the next step.

As far as flat-out dominant I watched Dale Davis go for 22pts. and 21 Rebs. one night against the Tarholes in Littlejohn

Non Clemson : Kellen Winslow: 82 Divisional playoff game against Miami in the Orange Bowl and Tommie Frazier dismantling Florida in the Championship game in the 90's

That AFC Divisional game was the day after...

the 1981 National Championship game.

Talk about 2 great games back to back in the Orange Bowl

That was awesome, and if I remember correctly, even though
