Rest of the season

What are you hoping to see from the rest of the year out of this football team?
I know a lot of the goals we came into the year with our off the table, barring a complete collapse from the rest of the conference, so what exactly are you hoping to see as the rest of the season plays out?
Personally, I want to continue to see Cades growth. I feel like he took a big step this past weekend against FSU. I’d also like to see a little more of the younger WRs. Give Brown more opportunities, get Stellato on the field and if Hanafin isn’t going to be redshirted, see him get some reps as well.
I’d also like to see a bit more of the youth on defense. Offensively we should be returning a large portion of the contributors next season. I could see Mafah jumping ship, seeing as how he was leaning that way before the season, but wouldn’t be surprised if Shipley came back for his senior season. Defense is what’s concerning to me because we’re losing a lot of production on that side of the ball, unless we have some surprise returners again. So it would be nice to start getting some of these underclassmen reps.
And lastly I just want to see a team with fire, go out and compete for 4 full quarters and play mistake free football.
I grew up in the heart of the Bowden years, so I can handle losing football games, even though I’d prefer not to watch it. I just want to see Clemson football get back to that “take no prisoners” mindset.
We only get a handful of weekends a year to watch Clemson play football. So that being said, I’m going to enjoy the rest of this season, regardless of outcome and cheer this team on.

Syracuse game will set what to expect for rest of year. As far as returning players anyone who is not a Senior should return. Anyone with eligibility left so far has not shown they are NFL material. Take a look at past underclassmen and see how well they fared.

I would agree but that’s usually never the case. There was no reason for Ngata to declare. He could have benefited from coming back into this offense and he chose to leave anyway. So who knows what these kids decide to do.

We survived the Tommy West years. I think I can be a little more patient with Dabo to finally get into the transfer portal game more seriously. Also, I’d like to see him be more supportive of fund raising for NIL. From what I’ve heard other head coaches at Clemson have been disappointed with his mixed messaging out on the Prowl and Growl circuit.

While 40 pt wins and a nasty team is certainly what we need, I like the original post. If we go up 21-3 on cuse, I don't think winning 42-6 would move the needle. Saying, I'd rather see a 35-20 comfortable win and see rs freshman and freshman, even sophomores in the game on both sides of the ball. Let's get them more experience, assess what they do in live game action.
I've said for several years now, the days of having 5th redshirt seniors are gone for the most part. Exceptions would be DT, DE, and OL because strength is sometimes needed. Other positions like dbs, rbs, wrs and even qbs are here 4 years max.
My philosophy is either a guy will be good enough to get drafted after 3 years definitely after 4 years or they'll transfer. Anyway, point being, get them on the field as you said.

Gator Bowl and the state championship. Those are probably the only attainable goals left this season.

Seeing Cade continue to grow is important. I would like to see him work on longer throws, assuming our wide receivers can create enough separation and our line can give him enough time (both of which are also things I would really like to see improvement on).
I would like to see our defense get better pressure on the quarterback. Several of our guys are not creating the pressure I hoped they would.
I want to see our team come out with a renewed focus, starting with Syracuse. I'm sure they are disappointed, and possibly discouraged, by our disappointing start to the season. But we can still win 10 games this year if we take it one game at a time and strive to get better every week.

I couldn’t agree more with all of your points.
In terms of deep throwing, I think Cade has good deep accuracy and the lack of shots downfield is more to do with lack of WR separation more so than lack of confidence in Cades ability to throw it.
Would also like a renewed focus on the defensive side of the ball as well. I feel likes it’s been a couple of seasons since we’ve seen a Clemson defense swarming and flying to the football the way they did in those Boulware/Skalski years.

Win out, sneak into the ACC tournament, beat FSU, and become the first 2 loss team to make the playoff and then win it all beating Georgia and Ohio State.
I put it at 0.0000000001% chance, but I really hope to see it.

an actual answer would be to finish 9-3 and go 2-1 against Miami, UNC, and Notre Dame. A loss against anyone else would be a major step back. I'd like to see the offense come into there own and maybe explode a game or two where they showcase the team they could be. For defense, more big plays. Sacks, INTs, fumbles, I want them to look like they are just having fun and dominating. Rather like Myles Garret for Cleveland, I want us to have some swagger.

A playoff is not impossible with 2 losses.
Please know that.
A bunch of angry 40 point wins, and we may find ourselves in the playoff.
