Move to England and support soccer because NIL is not a school decision, it is a national decision. NIL did not affect football this year.

Require something from the atheletes...

Require advertising, public appearances, autographs, their name on jersey sales, basically anything to prove that they actually did anything in return for the money.

No more collectives and pay for play. Because that is what it is mostly now. Make them earn it.

There is no solution to NIL. I can guarantee you that if not changed, it will relegate us to a second tier program.

I still feel the solution is to form a new hybrid NIL-NFL semi-pro league with its own title game. (Texas ATM, UGa, OSU, etc.) The players will have the school name on the front of their jersey and their sponsors on their back like a race car. Then, the colleges which choose not to participate in pay for play will be allowed to proceed to an amateur national championship.

LOL. Hmmm… you can guarantee it, huh?***

If players want to be paid like professionals, why can't they be placed under contract like professionals?

The cows are out of the barn. NIL isn't going away. The best you can hope for is the Clemson has some savvy folks behind their NIL deals that can do what the NCAA has failed to do. I'd like to see NIL contracts have bowl game participation mandates, require local representation (must stay in the advertising market for which you are hired) and a bonus for graduating within that market. I don't think you could legally force a player to stay at a specific school but staying in a specific market would be a financial consideration for an advertising budget. Don't want to play for the Tigers? Furman is still in the market so you don't get to cash in here and then head to Ole Miss etc.
