That I really don't have a problem with in principle. But, I have zero trust in this current government's standards and what they are looking for/at.
So, the principle sounds fine in general, but I have no confidence in how this will be applied.

We should have been doing this all along. Why wouldn't we take a quick look at someone's publicly displayed comments just to make sure they aren't terrorist sympathizers, or even actual terrorists. Foreign people have zero right whatsoever to be here. I'd suspect if you were inviting someone to live in your home for the next few years you'd do a cursory review of their social media content just to make sure you weren't gonna be stuck with an insane person. So spare us the crocodile tears.
