I love his story. He was a defensive lineman and converted to OL and that paid off

I sat with his family at a spring game one year. He grandfather was right next to me. They were very nice and his grandfather definitely knew football. He was fully on board with him moving to the OL. They knew it was a better avenue to the league.

All in all, I don't think anyone ever thought he would have a decade or more lomg career in the NFL.

Man I remember when shatley first went to the jaguars 11 years ago. I got to say to this he had 1 hell of a run and probably has a million cool stories to tell. Mad respect to him on such a long and productive NFL career because he truly beat the odds. Go tigers!!!!

Reminded me of Jeff Bostic's 14-year run with Washington

as a center in the 80s and early 90s, one of the Hogs that won 3 Super Bowls. Both legends. Congrats to Shatley.

I've always been impressed with Tyler's career. To make it as a UFA and then to stick around for 11 years is outstanding!

Its possible if he gets bored ...he could come and assist Matt Luke...or even Batson.

I had a few engineering classes with him at Clemson back in the day. Always impressed me he was able to complete a civil engineering degree while balancing the football life. He definitely stood out due to his shear size in those nerd classes haha.

He's represented Clemson well, and I wish him the best in his future endeavors!
