That was an absolutely horrible recruiting class!

The two 4-star guys, Brian Staley and Maurice Nelson never even played.
Would any of the guys in that class make the two-deep this year? Maybe CJ Gaddis ?

Tremaine Billie was pretty good and so was Jad Dean outside of the missed kick against SC

If we got 4 four-star recruits in the early 2000 recruiting years I thought we had a great recruiting class. How times they are a changing.

The difference was that in 2004 we signed 27 kids and several guys like Barry Richardson, Rashaad Jackson, Aaron kelly and Phillip Merling were all 2-stars that actually developed and produced.

You're right. And that was 2003 so just think the clown that was at the helm then stayed another 4-1/2 years

The out-of-nowhere finish to that season saved his ### big time. Pretty sure we were going after Spurrier, too. Fun to think about the butterfly effect that would have had. USuCk never gets their glory days at all. I have very little doubt that Spurrier could have built Clemson in the short-term, at least to ACC titles and BCS appearances on the regular being in the hunt for a national championship at least once or twice. No way he'd have been able to build a program the way Dabo has, though.
