the game winning touchdown pass to Renfrow. The play would have been nullified, the penalty would have been half the distance to the goal, and then we would have had one second to run one more play. Would we have kicked a field goal to tie it to force overtime, or go for the win?
Good thing it didn't come to that. Whew what a relief!

Although Brown looks like he is spearing Renfrow, thats not the case. There was no helmet to helmet contact, he didnt lead with the crown of his head, and he lead with his facemask and contacted with his facemask to Renfrow's shoulder. Thats not targeting. If anything, it could've been called a late hit, but even then thats debatable.

I think bc it was after the catch the TD would have standed either way. I don't think it would have nullified the td but could be wrong.

I'd like to see the rule where targeting can not be declined because I couldn't find it anywhere although I could have missed it. It would be hard to believe that a penalty on the defense could negate a touchdown that happened before the penalty happened.
