Recruiting Focus between now and February?

This is a new experience for all, having an early recruiting period. The question is what does the staff do now. How many additional scholarships do we expect.
The pressure and attention to the recruits still available will be tremendous. It will be interesting to watch over the next month how this second group of recruits are given double the attention.

Yeah, the focus will now be on a handful rather than stressing over the entire class and kids being pulled away at the last minute, something Nicky was always good at. I don't pretend to know how the staff will do it, but seems to me Ross, Surtain, Bookie and a couple of others will get the staff's full attention. It would have been great to get those signatures on the NLI by tomorrow, but that's not happening. This staff is a great recruiting staff, will be interesting seeing how it goes.

and possibly more depending on the number of transfers or early entrants in the NFL.
My guess, and it's just a guess, but I think we take another WR, two more DB's, and two on the OL.

I would like to have at least one more lineman. However the pickings are slim for lineman even on developmental guys

Actually, getting two more OL won't be that hard. This staff has a list of guys they would take for this class. We are ok till next year if they can't find at least one more, but somewhere out there is an "Etienne-type" OL that will come in and surprise. Bank on it.

there are a few left. Just checked the 247 recruiting board for O linemen and there is an uncommitted 5* from FL and several 4* from FL, Ga, And others close by states we have a goof recruiting footprint in. It’s possible to still pick up one or two mor quality O lineman. I don’t know if we will actually have the spots for them.

now for this year's class. It is almost like a secondary draft for the NFL would be. It also allows increased focus on next year, since we can now point out to those guys, earlier, who we already have lined up for them to potentially play with year after next. It will be interesting to see how the ESPN's of the world handle this in the future, 'cause they sure as hail weren't ready for yesterday.

I got home from work at 6:00 and didn't see anything at all on t.v. other then Finebum's spin, which is mostly SEC stuff.

Targets for 18, really be a dB or two. I agree with the posters clammering for OLs but I’m hearing likely not, be there will be a big numbers catch up on OL in the next cycle (example lose 2 take 5).
