I don't even open the LBODS in the lunge anymore. I've wipped butts and handed out pacifiers for 4 decades. I'm done with children.

If Vic Beasley could add 15-20 pounds and keep his speed, i could see him having a Bowers, Branch type of year.

He'll be in NFL draft discussions as a pass rushing specialist after next season, regardless of weight gain or technique. His first step is just too fast/natural on the film not to salivate over. It's elite.
If he can gain the weight he needs to and develop the strength to bullrush every now and then as a change of pace pass rush move, and to set the edge in the run, we're talking about someone who has the potential to be drafted ahead of where both Bowers and Branch were.

Running Back

#1 on my list is Running Back and how that rotation will work. The group has a lot of production to make up for with Ellington gone. Can McDowell be an every down back? What Freshman will step up? DJ Howard? Zac Brooks? Our offense will not look the same without a balanced rushing attack.

McDowell is not an every down back. Dabo said as much

last week, though we really knew that already. I would think the bulk of the carries will be McDowell and Dye with the rest of them splitting the remainder.

If Dye is able to pass protect. That is sometimes a problem with freshman backs. Hopefully they will pick up the blocking schemes and understand how important it is for Clemson backs to protect the passer.

He's already bigger and stronger than any back on the team.

Timidity shouldn't slow him down. I bet he picks it up quickly.

Dye is definitely the guy to watch here. This group of backs is reminiscent of the group lead by a Freshman James Davis

That's what I want to see. Credit to Roy Philpott show for planting that idea in my brain.

suggest using lb's at def end on passing downs; can move strong safety to mlb on dime package. the most important item in spring practice is coming together "one heart beat".
