He says both Swinney and Leggett are on board, but from what

Jan 31, 2013, 3:36 PM

I recall of recruiting him, he was just about commited to Maryland because they wanted him to play baseball while Dabo preffered him to stick to football and Leggett wasn't sure he was will ing to use a partial scholly. Something must have changed.

I have no idea what you're talking about

but Leggett doesn't have to use a partial scholarship on a player already on full scholarship for football.

I'm also pretty sure he was recruited as an Offensive Lineman by some schools (not sure about Maryland) and wanted to play defense.

From what I remember...

baseball was the deciding factor in why he didn't go to Maryland.

Wrong. Players like this NEVER get any baseball money.

You don't recall correctly at all

He was about to commit to Maryland because of it being home. The chance to play baseball and football was why he chose Clemson. Leggett even made a trip to Maryland to watch him play to make sure he was good enough.

Players on football scholarships that play other sports only use the football scholarship. Football gives a full scholarship while baseball can only give partials to everyone because of only having 11.7 scholarships for a 35 man roster.
