Chauvin belongs in prison for manslaughter and under Minnesota law perhaps 3rd degree murder, certainly not 2nd degree murder in my opinion.
He was completely indifferent to George Floyd's plight and it doesn't make a difference that Floyd was a lowlife.
It's pathetic how even Federal prisons like the one Chauvin was stabbed in are not secure.
As a former cop and one with such a high profile, Chauvin will not survive for long unless he is kept out of the general population.

It's a little surprising he was actually in the general population. That's basically a death sentence.
Was he in isolation and somebody got to him anyway? "Isolation" in prison tends to not be quite as isolated as the name would have us believe, and inmates tend to have their crafty little ways of getting around where they wanna in the Cross-Bar Hilton anyhow. All it'd really take is one guard looking the wrong way....
