WOW! They are after us. We have no chance.
I guess the powerful wolfies and cards expect us to roll over and play dead this year.
Spot the '###' ball.

What none of them can see, is that our guys last year felt they were so good that they didn't have to give a 100% until after the Pitt loss, and that was when they woke up and knew they could be beat. From that point on, our guys played together and for each other, not for their self. That is when they found out how good they could be playing for their team mates, and it was on after the Pitt loss. Coming close to losing don't have near the feeling as losing. All their close games were a win, and that was all that mattered to them. I bet that Dabo and coaches will remind this team about over confidence can bite them in the A$S when they least expect it, all the time this coming season. I think that our coaches even thought they were to good to be beat by the average ACC teams also....

To all those that seem to feel that they should have beaten us last year,I simply say--grow up and play better. L'ville lost because they could not execute when the game was on the line and ditto for NC State. As for Syracuse one might think that they learned their lesson after getting embarrassed last year. apparently not so we'll just go up there and given them another whipping !
FSU and the Tigers have carried the load for the ACC for many years and it's about time that the losers in the ACC either shut the h....up or play better. I could care less what their coaches think and as for the one player from L'ville complaining about Tiger fan behavior I say: IF that happened and that's the worse you face in life, you'll be very blessed!

I agree with you but I don't know how players handle that. It would have taken every ounce of everything I have not to punch that Clemson fan in the face.

is a good guy. Met him over the summer at a football camp and had the chance to watch him interact with young kids over a 3-day period, particularly my 8-year old son and I gained a lot of respect for him. A lot of the players at this camp just went through the motions, but not Jaire...he made sure every kid was having a great time and enjoying the game of football. It was very genuine.

they need their #### kicked-- no one should be talking or getting in the face of an opponent post-game on the field-- it's the kind of behavior that will eventually lead to the end of what is an amazing experience for the kids

Even though I have a lot of fun on here talking trash I would never disrespect a person like that. A fan message board is one thing. It's what we do. A little jest amongst friends is one thing. Being disrespectful to a man who just left it all on the field like that is not cool. Even if it is a mouthy player like Lamar or Jake. From what I'm reading this guy is a good kid too. That's just sad. At least our fanbase doesn't defend this type of behavior for the most part. Others well...

I remember vividly, after the 1st meeting, I went on the field to congratulate Lorenzo Mauldin on a good game. He just replied "thanks man appreciate it".....
That guy that got in JA's face is not a representation of our fanbase....

Here's hoping Jaire Alexander sees that Clemson fan's face everytime he looks at a Tiger player. Deon Cain, Hunter Renfrow and Ray Ray will run right by him while he's mesmorized by the Tiger fan. When he trudges off to the sideline and Booby Petrino asks him what happens, he'll just blabber something about a Clemson fan.

last year. Well, what if we had Wayne the whole game? What if we didn't turn in over 3 times in the red zone? They act like the kick was the only play that was important.

Man I forgot about that dirty play to "take him out of the game." Thanks for reviving my memory and rekindling the lack of respect that I have for Doren and NC St. It's almost football season again.

I hope all Clemson players, coaches, and fans remember Dave Doeren's comments about how 'hurting Gallman was a good thing' that happened for NCS in that game. Playing hard is a good thing, hurting someone is an unfortunate thing that sometimes happens. To encourage or applaud plays like the one Gallman was hurt on is low class.

Tigers in the Bullseye

I disagree with much of the posts. Yeah, we're at the center of the bulleye. Just where we wanted to be. Who cares if there are negatives expressed about last year's game. It's emotion. We need to get our team ready for this year to take care of business.
I hope the Tiger faithful shows class wherever we play, win or lose.

2 things standout to me:
Jul 13, 2017, 3:57 PM
|
|
1) Louisville you were lucky not be blown out last year. It took nearly a half dozen turnovers to keep you in the game. The talent gap between us is getting wider. I believe it will show this year.
2) Tom Luginbill actually said something I agree with. I don't know about the HJ thing but you're right. If we would've left DW4 in the Georgia game we win. All of Cole's success in the first half came off of easy throws. Once Georgia took away the easy throws and brought the house Cole had no answer. That game was the lone blemish on our #1 defense. Cole simply could not keep them off of the field that game or almost any other game that year. The posture of the offense was completely different when DW was on the field. Whether you're right about HJ or not Dabo does learn from mistakes. I don't expect him to make the same one twice.

We had offensive line issues once UGA decided to bring it. Watson did play in the second half and did not have the success he had on his first drive. Most of our WRs were young, our best backs were all freshman and losing our starting TE in warm-ups was huge. While I believe the lesson to play the talent was learnt, I do not believe we win for sure just by starting Watson alone, in that game. UGA was running wild by the second half. Had our offense stayed on the field maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. Still, it was not playing all the talent, our blocking, which handcuffed our play calling.

Everybody has a plan until they get hit. The cheap shot that the wolfies took last year on Wayne changed the complexion of the game.
The strength of this year's Clemson team is going to be how freaking nasty the OL and the DL/LB/S are going to be every play. It's going to be on par with what Clemson Fans remember from the 80's. It's going to be brutal.

Luginbill is just repeating what I've (and others) have been saying about HJ. Can we block him from reading t-net?
And SU is not a great environment. Did Carrier ever decide to donate some AC to their dome?
Of all the teams, I would guess that NCSU feels the worst that they snatched that "L" from the mouth of a "W". They might have the biggest chip on their shoulder when we go there this year.
Anyway, the ACC knows that they have to go thru CLEMSON to get to the ACCCG. And that includes Louserville and FSU. Tweet that. LOL
