Who is worried about game rust?

Last game was Wednesday and now play next Friday.
That is 9 days between games. New Mexico won three games last week winning Mountain West beating good teams Boise State, Colorado State and San Diego St in championship Saturday. They get a little rest playing Friday but that is just 6 days.

It was reported on here that our team needed rest, especially after that grueling acct run. SHould be good to go.

I would say it hurts them more. Clemson didn't play well last time out, and they played well in their tournament. When you're playing well, you hate the layoff. When you're not, you welcome it.

After a 30+ game season, I still think a few extra days rest is better for the team. If they worked on their shooting, maybe we actually come out a little sharper.

We’ve been banged up for a couple of months now. It’s hard to get healthy when you’re playing a game every few days.
I do think long layoffs sometimes mean that it takes a little longer to get adjusted to the game speed, but we will hopefully settle in quickly and be ready to go.

They NEED the extra time to get rested up and to heal some of the guys with minor aches and pains. They'll be good to go!
