Two of my sons have made up their mind that they want to

Go to Clemson. So it looks like I'll be very broke for a long time. Please drop all extra crackers and Vienna sausages to my house.
Time to find a second job... Lol

I feel your pain. Unfortunately, the cost of college doesn't matter to those that are rich or those that are poor. The rest of us slobs that pay most of the taxes are left with the struggle of paying for our children's education.

What?

So if you're somewhere between rich and poor, you pay more taxes? Also, newsflash here...you don't HAVE to be "left with the struggle of paying for our children's education" that's just something that you choose to do. Big difference.

I think he was saying the burden of higher education [Clemson] on the rich and poor is less that of the working class. I also assumed that he was taking a shot at the rich for not paying what he considers their fair share and acknowledges that rich have it easier than we others.
But if you don't like his attitude I'll retract that entire paragraph because I think you are scheduled behind me in the next RAG train.

The 529 plan is quite good as are earned scholarships. Look into Clemson's program. I teach at Midlands Technical College and money for education is available from a variety of sources beyond student loans or parent's pockets.
Good luck. Go Tigers!

My soon to be wife and I should start a college fun for my unborn babies to go to Clemson now?
Consider it done.

Well, you also need to make sure you remain an SC resident.
My daughter is a HS Sr. and has her heart set on Clemson. But we live in Fl now, and out of state tuition to Clemson is 3X the cost of instate tuition to FSU and UF.

My oldest daughter is a senior at Clemson now and my youngest daughter just received her provisional acceptance for the Fall of 2016 so I feel your pain.
Sorry...no pigs of said daughters.

Enjoy every minute of it, despite the cost. Of my two, one went to The Citadel and one went to Georgia TECH--still hurts my heart to this day.
