I believe that players getting physical with officials cannot be allowed, but that is really a whole lot of nothing. NFL got it right.

Unfortunately, true. I'm glad he got his money when he did. They really seem to be going after him on a personal level and I don't see how it can't help but wear on him. Such a shame that he put himself in this position and I really hope there is some vindication and recovery for him down the road.
We all make mistakes but at some point there needs to be some forgiveness and grace if there is real repentance. That is the part that seems to be missing but I know he probably can't go into a lot of depth about how he really feels until the civil suits are resolved.
