The ACC champ won't be in the playoff but 2 SEC teams will be ??????
What the #### is wrong with everything when 2 SEC teams get into the playoffs but NOT the ACC champion .......

Not about just being a champion it's about your overall record as well. If you have more than one loss you probably not getting in. If Pitt was undefeated they would absolutely be there.

A 1 loss ACC team will likely not make the Playoffs so we will know more about our chances on October 2 and most certainly on November 6.

Are almost guaranteed not to happen.
In their logic...
Clemson is ACC Champ, but not in playoffs - so we have to assume a loss to Notre Dame plus a loss in a conference game, but not one that keeps us out of the championship and then we win the Championship
Notre Dame would therefore have a win over Clemson, probably a loss to Ohio State, and then another loss from someone like USC (but not an undefeated USC), UNC, or BYU.
Then somehow the Orange Bowl - who is obligated to take Clemson at 10-2 - gets a rematch with 10-2 Notre Dame who is somehow higher ranked than a 10-2/9-3 team from the SEC or Big 10 (Texas A&M, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Penn State, Purdue, etc.)
That scenario is so improbable that it's almost delusional.

This is just like Paul Finebaum. CBS only covers the SEC. Who cares what SEC bias opinions
are Alabama? Alabama missed the playoff and was preseason #1 the next year. Clemson misses and the sky is falling, Clemson is done. Oklahoma at #4 is just plain dumb. I love BV and wish him all the best, that team lost too much to be a playoff team. That is a 9-3, 10-2 team.
