It goes far beyond a simple description as mind boggling when we read dumpshit like Garrett and other nit picking ######## should help Cade's progress when knowing all along he came to Clemson as a 5 star HS recruit that was considered the best QB coming out of HS. The kid had a 30-0 record as the starting quarterback at Westlake HS in Texas, the state that's known for having some of the best HS FB in the entire country, and probably anywhere in the world where HS FB is played. He won three Texas HS state titles as a the QB.
Cade broke and set new records for the most passing yards at Westlake High School, and he did that coming to Westlake behind some pretty good QBs that played at Westlake HS and went on to have good careers in the NFL. They took their NFL teams to the playoffs and move on to play in the Super Bowl. Those two QBs were Drew Brees, and Nick Foles. And yet this entire off season sports writers have talked about Cade as if he was this 3 star QB that was offered a scholarship to Clemson bc Dabo Thought he had a little bit of talent that they could coach up and maybe become a serviceable backup behind DJ.
What they have forgotten about, Cade Klubnik came to Clemson as the top rated 5 star HS QB in the country that had a 30-0 win/loss record as the starting QB. Cade played for one of the top rated FB schools in the state of Texas. With Cade as the starting QB at Westlake HS, he broke the passing yard record at the same HS school that Drew Breese, and Nick Foles played on before Cade Klubnik ever thought about playing QB at Westlake HS.
The kid has only had 1 start, and bc Dabo was so hellbent on making a NC QB out DJ, that Cade only got a series or maybe 2 in most of the games that he got to play in, and he never got any first team snaps at practice until the Tennessee Bowl game, So I just don't understand how the sports writer's or anyone else can fairly look down their nose at Cade bc he wasn't a DW4, or a Trevor Lawrence last season... Well, he wasn't supposed to be, DW4 and Trevor was brought in to make them the starter as quick as possible, and the both took those starting jobs as soon as they could be coached up enough to hand them the ball. Those same expatiations wasn't in the plans for Cade bc big time 5 star QB DJ Uiagalelei had been waiting behind Trevor for two seasons and the job was handed to him on a gold plate the moment that TL16 said I'm going to the NFL. And Cade got a lot less playing time than what DJ got as backup behind TL16. There was no hurry to get Cade ready bc of what I said at the start of this post, Dabo was hellbent on DJ being successful as the starter after TL16 bc he waited for the job a couple of seasons, and Dabo wasn't about to hand the ball to Cade as long as DJ wanted the job.
I'll tell everybody something, take a peep at Cades HS film, and IMAGINE him after a real offensive/QB coach has a whole off season (instruction)and with him and in fall camp. Once Cade gets going after the first game, maybe the second one, Cade is going to light some defenses up, wait and see!!!!

Sports commentators are now sports comedians. I’m glad I have a sense of humor.
