I hope Weather Channel forecast for Furman game improves

Currently 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms. I'm bringing my rain gear, but it won't help me with lightning on the 23rd row (of 40) in the visitor's side upper deck. I was in my seat for the whole WF game last year. It was a slightly chilly downpour, but no lightning. I started planning/plotting/scheming/packing for my trip from SE Virginia last night. It's gittin' real now!!! Go Tigers!!!

Isn't it always a 50% chance of rain ? I mean , it's either going to rain or not rain on every single day of the year . So you got a 50/50 situation right outta the gate . Is my math broken ?

They only use one computer model to make a forecast.

The whole lightening possibility gave me a funny thought. You know that one taller than normal fan a few rows ahead of you who stands long after everyone else has sat down......ZZZZZAP.....that'll learn ya'!!!

That forecast probably won't be accurate

if you look at it as you are walking into the stadium...
The accuracy of The Weather Channel's forecasts falls well behind the 'politics of weather' on their priority list...

A little bedroom community called Poquoson, kinda' between Hampton and Yorktown on the Virginia Peninsula. It is next to NASA/Langley Research Center where I retired from 06/30/16. I plan to move back to SC eventually. The almost 9 hour drive one way to Clemson is taking it's toll!

I forget the opponent, but a few years ago there were two lightening delays in the same game, and the noon game ended something like 6:00 and turned out to be the longest game in Clemson history. But the good news is we hung in there after everyone else left and ended up on the 50 yard line by the end, on the front row of upper deck. I wish you all the best, don't give up.

I plan to move back to SC eventually. I want to build a retirement house within about 45 minutes of Clemson. Then, it will be seasons baseball and basketball tickets as well as football. I retired from NASA/Langley Research Center 06/30/16. I plan to be the great distracter of opposing baseball teams. Nothing ugly, just getting in their heads.

I'm thinking the weather will either help us or hurt us. Could be a game changer.
