Clemson basketball, this is why no one gives a shoot. Even when they seem different, like "there's something different about this team", they end up coming back down to earth and smashing our hopes to bits. This year has been very historical as far as school records go. But, that seems to be nothing more than a decently talented team taking advantage of a mediocre to bad ACC. I wanted so badly to think this was a better team that could make some noise, win the ACC, and prove all the naysayers wrong, but alas, the true Clemson basketball eventually shows up. Maybe the signs were here all along but hope blinded me/us. Oh well, football will be back in a few months and this emotional roller-coaster known as Clemson basketball will be relegated to it's historical and probabaly eternal place, just an afterthought. I know this lil rant was whiney and melancholy in nature. Sorry, just venting a lil. Spot the dang ball...🏈

This is the dumb crap that comes from so many Clemson "fans" regarding basketball.
I had to go on Tigernet to see what nonsense would be spewed because Clemson basketball lost.
No wonder basketball has never stabilized as a strong basketball program for 50+ years. The fairweather ignorance has got to be daunting for players, coaches and staff. It is dam-ned if you do and dam-ned if you don't situation.

No dude it's just an up and down up and down broken record year after year. People just get tired of getting thier hopes up each year only to have them come crashing down at some point that season. So, when that has happened enogh times, people start to become indifferent to the b-ball program. Yes, it's nice when we win, this season this team has been really fun to watch and root for, it looked liked we were really gonna make a big run. And, we still might of we get in the dance. But, if there was ever a year to win the ACC, this was it. If it didn't happen this year, it probably won't happen anytime soon. It will take some drastic changes and somehow we will have to start getting bluechippers to sign here on a consistent basis.
Look I love all Clemson's sports and I have really enjoyed this season, but in the end, reality has started to set in. This is Clemson basketball, don't expect to win the league and go too far in the dance, if you do, you'll be disappointed. I hate that thats the way it is but, that's reality.
I hope against hope and wish against wish that our team makes the dance and makes some noise, but I aint holding my breath. But, who knows we could be pleasantly surprised. Fingers crossed...
