New spin on conference realignment....

What if the ACC schools all joined the PAC? Dissolve the ACC to dissolve the horrible TV deal. The PAC invites the best of the ACC. PAC media rights deal ends summer of 2024.

BYU is in the Big 12 so getting them maybe a stretch.

And a distant 3rd at that. And inevitably teams in this league will suffer in every aspect of the sport, money, ratings, recruiting. The real question is "Does Clemson, et al, want to continue to compete at the top level of NIL football and reap its rewards, code for money, prestige, and strangely enough, higher academically rated students, (look at Alabama's student enrollment under Saban)
If the answer to this is yes, and I think it is, then Clemson's powers that be need to be in serious discussion with ESPN/SEC and Fox/Big 10.
If the answer is no, and this would be fine by me as someone who would be just as happy for Clemson to play in a league that puts education first, and play only those schools that are in the same league.

This has my vote for post of the day!
Great Point!
To answer: "NOPE"!
They all get to ride the coat tails of the actual good teams at the top of the league they are in. It's downright silly when people assume you are good because of the name of the patch on your jersey "ONLY"!

**to specify I mean the conference patch ***
Silly Rabbits - Trixxx are for kids!
The schools you listed in those two leagues get a pass yearly and it's "frackle-nackle-bull"!

Of course SEC/B1G is the better option. But this scenario is IF that doesn’t happen. Imagine this league with a new TV contract and an agreement that properly rewards the teams with the biggest media draw.

It’s not horrible if the future is 3 super sized Conferences with access to a playoff. If the SEC and Big10 do their own playoff, then this 3rd conference is stuck with a couple legacy bowl games. Not exactly ideal for Clemson.

If Clemson is undefeated and in a merged ACC, BIG12, PAC12 conference and they don't get into the playoffs and the play off is only SEC and BIG10 it isn't a play off. The SEC and BIG10 only have a glorified bowl system. The best of the NCAA will have their own playoff system. Eventually they will want to have a true play off system again.

Guess my spitballing this morning was a pretty good guess. This is what the ACC is exploring now.
