Otherwise, he'd know that all 2 stars are allowed to do is contribute on special teams and boost team morale.

He plans on walking on and hoping to one day be in the ring of honor. He sets the bar high. Hopefully his optimism and effort are contagious.

I agree, and his film shows a player that plays through the whistle and wants to lay everybody out. I hope the best for him and glad he is a Tiger!

Couldn't agree more!
The greater danger for us, and specifically young people like this, is not that our aim is too high and we miss the mark, but that our aim is too low and we hit the mark!

I like that one of his goals is to some day have his name on the ROH. That he wants to work hard for the team to be the best. Also about ha 4 or 5 years he would spend here

Really people? We should all welcome Matt with open arms and be thankful of his positive attitude coming in. We offer, he refuses a couple SEC offers. I think he has a great understanding of the fact that we opened the door and now it is up to him to work his way up. He obviously knows what it will take to make it here and at the next level. Best of luck for nothing but success as a Tiger and as a Man! Go Tigers!

I like the fact

that granddad was a great defensive coordinator and Dad is a defensive mind now (and his uncle) yet he decides to flip around and play against the D. Doesn't mind bucking the family tradition and blazing his own path.
Welcome aboard young man!

As a soccer coach, early in the season I have players switch their playing positions for a practice or two because it gives them a better insight into their counterpart and how to play them more effectively. Just getting them to think like their counterpart can teach them how to gain an advantage when they switch back.
In some instances we even discovered that they should be playing regularly on the other side of the ball!

Buddy Ryan's Grandson to Clemson - Has to be part crazy

That's never bad for an O-Line. If he works hard in the weight room, class room and practice field, he will do fine. Especially after redshirt year.

Yea and Rob Ryan's son - even more so....the coaches must have seen something in him. He'll learn a lot from Tigers staff-combined with that attitude should be an asset.

Not sure that the current Matty Ice isn't a QB at Missouri that was snorting ice. Man what a waste of an opportunity.

I just have a feeling that by the end of his Clemson career, this dude is going to be a straight up monster guard. All ACC type, however I have been wrong before.
