I am grieved that so many people and cultures will not enjoy deviled eggs with their Easter meal.

It’s easily one of the top five food experiences of my calendar year.
This poast is mainly intended to raise awareness about this most grievous issue. Even if only one single life is changed by it, it was worth it.
#deviledeggsforall
EDIT: The recipes for deviled eggs are widely varied, but the rules governing their use are the same as those for firewood when camping - gather enough quantity to last the night, then double that amount, and then you’ll have enough

My dad always made us “special recipe” sandwiches for lunch on Saturdays - it’s a normal deli meat n cheese job plus relish and crushed tater chips. #gourmet

sometimes two bites. Sometimes I eat them like an oyster, sucking out the center, then I eat the shell. But it's not really a shell, it's just the egg white.

I love when the trash truck comes to empty the dumpster in the back parking lot and it sounds like crazy mechanical noises and loud banging metal - I just tell people with a straight face that some surgical procedures require significantly more invasive armamentarium and that it’s completely normal to hear significant percussive and crunching sounds.

Top 5 recurring annual food experiences in no particular order (I’m not counting restaurant stuff): - my wife’s Christmas Oreo cheesecake - BBQ and watermelon on 4th of July - low country boil and/or oyster roast in winter - cranberry relish with Thanksgiving turkey - deviled eggs at Easter
Honorable mention: - fresh late-season local peaches - soft shell crab in early spring - first home grown tomato sammich - eggnog at a Christmas party

One old school southern staple that was always on my grandma's holiday table was pear salad. A pear half with a dollop of mayo (Duke's of course) grated cheese and a cherry on top. Usually served on a bed of lettuce

That, plus an opaque, fruit-laced, molded Jell-O presentation, really sets the tone for a grandmotherly Easter soirée.

I can’t stand the smell of deviled eggs. Love to eat eggs over easy for breakfast.
My wife loves deviled eggs.
Grandmother made that pear deal but not real sure I even tried it. Not a fan of pears.
