He took a major step back this year with Arnett ditching Leach's Air Raid & going pro-style. They just weren't set up to run that successfully.

He ran Mike Leach's air raid for 3 years before Leach passed. He probably wants to move somewhere with a similar offensive system. He went from averaging 50 pass attempts per game in 2021-2022 under Leach to less than 30 per game this year.
Or he may just want to cash in before his career ends, but I'm not sure if he's regarded highly enough to move to one of the top tier programs.
