KJ is a perfect example of how the "star" rating system

can never tell what a player will be in college. He was HIGHLY rated and recruited, and yet, thus far, he has been serviceable at best. Not a knock, just being realistic. By his own admission, he had a lot of work to do in the weight room and on the practice field to get to a position where, hopefully, he breaks out this year.

Solid contributor yes. Now it would not surprise me to see him coaching our Tigers at some point as this is what he wants to do.

In his interviews he seems like a very intelligent dude and a leader. I could imagine him coaching.

In some fairness, he was going up against, hmmmmm......
XT Foster Mascoll And, oh yeah.... Clelin Ferrel. Really difficult to rate a 5 star. Heart and desire mean a lot, when competition jumps from h.s. to college. Just glad our coaching staff does all they do to evaluate these kids.

He obviously knew he needed that weight room and some development from the get go. That is why he was a 5* that was willing to redshirt.

Personally I’d prefer humble guys that know their weaknesses and what they need to improve on (and when they are NOT yet ready) like KJ, over cocky, arrogant players who have more ego than talent. Thankfully we don’t get that many of the latter.
KJ seems like a very intelligent guy who is quick to give credit to others. I think those qualities will get you very far in life.

Definitely one of my favorite players. He's been All In from day 1. As the other poster said, he can be a ton of help with the young recruits on the transition. Eventually end up coaching.
Although, I'm still hoping he will have that breakthrough year and shows he can dominate. Possibly get drafted in the mid rounds. It'd be great if he only got a couple years in the NFL. It'd help his coaching resume. Either way, hope he ends up in Clemson for a long time. Can't ask for a better ambassador.

He also seems to fully comprehend life is more than just football, and I can see him coaching later on down the road.
KJH has always been a class act and a great rep of the school, star ratings be darned. I'd rather have guys like him with real character than some overhyped superstar like Chad Kelly.

I remember seeing KJ for the first time at the ladies clinic when he came in as a true freshman. He had a segment with the power rangers and it was amazing to see him fit right in like a vet. He is always so well spoken and a wonderful representation of a Clemson man. I hope he and XT have a breakout year!

I agree completely about KJ Henry’s being well-spoken young man. Also like to comment on the leadership trait that he adds in his remarks concerning the offensive line. Clemson team is family and these guys probably read comments, good and bad, about their “brothers”. KJ Henry as a leader rightfully defends and gives encouraging words to the guys he battles everyday in practice.

Props to KJ Henry for being a leader

Both in the locker room and in the classroom. While XT, a healthy Foster, Mascoll and obviously Murphy have more upside between the lines, KJ understands his value to the success of this 2021 team.
Yes, KJ could coach in the future. He could also get into broadcast work or the business side of football. And don’t be surprised to see KJ return for another massive push on the field in 2022. I see KJ in the rotation with 35-40 tackles and 5-10 TFL in 2021. Go Tigers!
