What!? Seton Hall is their only victory with a top 80 RPI or NET. Clemson has a NET of 81 but the RPI is trash. The other 3 teams Iowa have played are awful (Bethune Cookman, NC A&T , and Omaha).

They are better off just ignoring him. They have a better group of athletes, but they have absolutely no chance to compete with a slow-motion offense. They need to push it up and attack with screens & cuts. If they play a match up zone defense, they can cover up the lack of size & pull some weak side rebounds.

They don’t have the personnel for that offense. We have maybe 3 guys who can fit in that scheme. Schef chase and hunt. An offense like that weakens the strengths of Alex and brevin and completely takes pj hall out of the equation

Rather than applauding the effort of a team who essentially played without its best player tonight, and who was the victim of some absolutely horrible officiating, we fought back from being down 14 in the second half and gave ourselves a chance to win against team ranked in the top 25 of the polls and top 15 in KenPom.
Of course we would’ve liked to win, and I for one am mad we didn’t, but if you didn’t come away from this game seeing a lot of bright spots for our team then you might need to change your perspective.
Don’t you have a football game to be thinking about? Leave basketball to the fans who actually support the team and don’t bash them every chance they get.

Football has underachieved for a while now, relative to our talent level and support for the program.
Basketball overachieves based on those same metrics, but I know that’s hard for some of you to accept because you want to believe that Clemson supports everything amazingly.
Let me know when Clemson basketball has among the nation’s best facilities and highest bankrolled basketball program, and then we’ll talk.
Heck, just put us in a conference that gives us an easy path to victory like we have in the ACC for football and I bet we would see much more basketball success - even with our poor support.

But my expectations for it are commensurate with our history in the sport, how well it’s supported by our athletic department and fans, and the level of competition we play.
Based on these factors, we should be winning the ACC, we shouldn’t be losing to NC State, Pitt, or Notre Dame, and we shouldn’t have an offense in the bottom half of FBS.

We have been winning the ACC on a regular basis you fool. The Clemson football program has lived up to the standard. Playing for conference championships almost every year for the past decade. We had one down year. Going to the playoffs isn’t required to have a great season.

He’s also saying playoffs “several” years ago when it has been one completed season since we were in playoffs. Also our football expenditures are top 20 not top 4. So by the what spend measure Dabo hasn’t underachieved since 2010. Basically every aspect of his argument is built on fallacies.

in America since Dabo was hired as head coach. Dabo has NOT recruited the 2nd highest ranked overall roster during his tenure. We're not overall as talented as a bunch of 'elite' teams, yet most often we achieve more than most everyone. More wins, more playoffs, more playoff wins, more national championship games, and two national championships in the midst of the 2nd longest home winning streak in modern football.

And contrary to your oft-used, always defeated excuses, basketball talent is fine, basketball support from the administration is above average, we have above average facilities, and we have fans that are rabid when there's a decent product on the court. Brad had fans. He inherited a ton of fan supprt. It was HIS fault he lost the fans. He doesn't win enough, and watching paint dry is a more exciting experience than watching these guys play offense.
We have basketball fans. We have finances. We have facilities. We have good players. But in 12 years we've finished in the top 40 twice. TWICE IN 12 YEARS. And Brad is the 38th highest paid coach in America? So OBVIOUSLY he isn't meeting expectations, and CLEARLY he's underachieving.

We spend about the same in men’s basketball.
We were two evenly matched teams last night.
There are other factors that matter too, such as:
-Iowa has a much better basketball history than we do. They have won their conference tournament multiple times (versus zero for us), they have been to the NCAA Tournament 28 times (versus 12 for us), made 8 Sweet 16s (versus 3 for us), and been to the Final Four three times (versus our zero).
-They have much better fan support than we do. They have nearly 13,000 fans at their home games, and have ranked in the top 25 nationally in attendance. For comparison, we have thousands less than that at our home games, and are never among the nation’s best supported basketball teams.
-Their facilities are superior to ours. They regularly make upgrades and enhancements.

Just face the facts both basketball and football lost to the Gamecocks. Clemson lost to a good Iowa team ranked 25th in the nation. They lost by 3 and you have fools on here running their mouths. The basketball team is 5-2 and yes the win against the 0-7 Cal team really doesn't mean a thing.
nctigs the judge did respond and he knows how to spell.
