It's time Clemson did away with the student section...

in Death Valley. Anytime you put that many kids together in one place, without a chaperone, bad things happen. The only things that come out of that section are; the woo-hoo, vomit, paw hand, a plume of cheap perfume and axe body spray, and that dumb jumpy thing they do. All are a total waste of time, and no one will miss them when they're gone. I've talked to several players, and every single one has said those things do not make them play any better. It's past time we spread the students out over the entire upper deck area. No more than two students can be seated next to each other and there must be at least 8 adults between pairs of students. This move would open up some pretty good seating on the lower deck for paying customers, and prevent a lot of this unproductive nonsense that ruins the college game day experience for the rest of us.

would be the possibility of the students corrupting the adults they are now sitting next to. I would be embarrassed to see an adult doing that dumb jumpy thing. This is my only concern, but everything else is spot on, as always

Having them on campus really distracts from the enjoyment of not only the game, but tailgating as well. I honestly cannot fathom a reasonable explanation as to why the administration has allowed this subset of the population to continuously mar our university and it's reputation.

I'm with you on everything but the Axe Body Spray.
Notes of basil and black pepper, along with classic touches of amber and cinnamon has an undeniable impact on the team even if they don't recognize it. It's hard enough to win while feeling fresh and smelling great. I don't know if I want to try it without that edge.

A possible repurposing of the student seating would be to reinstate a smoking section. Every ticket holder in said section would get a balloon upon arrival along with multiple F-this/F-that chants during appropriate game moments

I am sorry Francis Marion®. I could not disagree with you more. I graduated from Clemson in 1976 and met my wife there. Her two brothers and her father graduated from there. Some of the best memories we had were at the games. In my senior year, Clemson won 2 games. It was mostly the students that were there during those lean years. I have 5 children that graduated from 5 different universities. Clemson, UNC-Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Auburn, and Columbia. The one thing they all wanted was the whole college experience. That included going to the football games. You may ask, does Columbia University in New York have a football team? Yes, they are in the Ivey league, which is actually an athletic conference like ACC or SEC, just not as big. The Ivy League competes in Division I. The Ivy League is set apart from the other D1 conferences because they cannot give athletic scholarships. Yet, students still want to sit in the stands during a football game.

OUCH, all I have to say about this is, without the student enrollment at Clemson, there wouldn't be a Clemson.
They are the young people of the future, but bc of their youth, there should be somebody of maturity watching out for the bad things, and correct it bc, when they are in large crowds, troublesome things can, and will occur bc of the attention seekers!!!
That is all I have other than, the students belong, and to remember we were all that young once, and we were probably just as annoying as the young are to some of us today....

I am 78 years old. Been to many Clemson games over the years. For some games if not for the students no one would have attended. We need more students at the game, not less. Remember, Clemson is a college, not Pro football. For those who don't want Students to attend; go to the Pro games.
