Well we asked for that by showing up wishing on an open date and not showing up to play, Syracuse is one of those teams with a large group of classless fans, you should beat them regularly. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!

They won by a field goal in their house, and that's what they have to brag about. In Death Valley last year, Clemson slaughtered the orange man 54 to a goose egg that equals 54-0!!!

That would be great wouldn't it, but the fact still remains, they really don't have much to brag about, especially when you compare the last two games!!!

A perfect trip ended by a perfect storm. All 3 parts of the Tiger team were horrid. If only one of the O, D, or special team had played decently, the outcome would have been a W.

Those are going to be his next two articles. One on the bad news and one on the good news. I think it's supposed to create suspense????
Personally I think he should skip the bad news. Heard enough about that from the tnet commenters this weekend!!
GO TIGERS!!

Inside the Dome

I live in western NY. My son is a Clemson grad. I was at the dome for the game. I grew up in the north and have been to games at Pitt, Penn State, Notre Dame, Navy and others. I now make an annual trip to Clemson. This is the first time I can remember fans cheering while a player was down on the field. "Let's go orange" was cheered the whole time any of our players were on the ground. The drunk behind me was the poster boy for not selling beer in the stadium. Half of his first beer ended up on my wife's jacket. When I asked the fans behind me some questions, I was called a d-bag and told not to come back. This is not representative of most of the fans but my wife said she will never go to Cuse again.

They're just cold and bitter because, well, it's cold and bitter up there no excuse for poor behavior and sportsmanship.
Personally, I have been avoiding ESPN and any other sports talk because the display we saw Friday night was not the Clemson team we know and love and definitely not the on field character Dabo has preached. (i.e. the biggest game is the one we're about to play, don't look ahead, play in the moment, etc.) I'm sure he'll have it buttoned up by GT.

Yes, I noticed the chanting during Clemson injuries & thought "classless".
Was very surprised at the Clemson presence. I would guess at game time there was 1/4 to 1/3 Tiger fans in the Dome.
Was taken aback at the emptiness of the stands initially. 'Cuse fans tended to filter in through the first quarter.

I'm sorry about your experience. There are definitely horrible folks everywhere you go. I remember very clearly Clemson fans booing our injured players in DV a few years ago.
Good luck the rest of the way.

A Syracuse fan had the audacity to come up to me and say "Clemson fans suck." I asked if he had ever been to Death Valley. He replied "No" I told him that this was my 3rd trip to Syracuse. I then reminded him that Death Valley seats 81,500 and that last season we averaged over 99% attendance and that Syracuse only averaged 66% in a stadium that doesn't even seat 50,000. I told him that the Carrier Dome was an impressive venue for basketball, congratulated him on the win and told him to learn how to win with class.

I had a Clemson fan sitting right behind me. We traded jabs all game, agreed on certain calls, disagreed on others. At the end of the night, he tapped me on the shoulder and said 'congrats, you guys earned it, you really kicked our butts'. All fanbases have some bad apples but I can tell you that the Orange faithful think very highly of your program, your coach, and your fans. The guy behind me was a class act, Dabo is a class act, and every Clemson fan I've ever met has been a class act. I look forward to our next meeting.
