of this program. Would be very easy for these guys to pack up the season and say "we have nothing to play for". I want to see our culture shine the rest of this year in how these guys battle every week. If we can see that, and I think we will, we will know our program is in a good place even with the losses.

I agree. They are going to be really good over the next 2 years, especially in 2 years. That team will be stacked.

I’m not so concerned about Cade and the other sophomores plus freshman that are getting playing time. For me it’s a character check for the starters that stayed to play for a title or improve their draft chances (eg Davis, XT, Ruke). Others are probably more of a concern of “opting out” on the field like we perceived about TJ Green and Kearse back in ‘15 trying to avoid injury. I really can’t see that happening with the players we’d be talking about (Briningstool, Carter, Trotter, Wiggins, Makuba).

Every 2024 NFL Draft guy on our team with the exception of maybe Trotter has the opportunity to improve their draft stock. Trotter is probably the only one who has hit his draft ceiling from on-field play. XT and Davis need to prove they can play a full season and stay healthy. Ruke can use some more good film. Mukuba is playing much better this year now that he is healthy. Wiggins needs to keep playing lights out, he can go from a disaster at Wake last year to a Day 1 pick. Phillips can work his way into a late round pick. Barret Carter needs some more splash plays.
The leaders on this team have plenty of motivation to play hard the rest of the season. I do expect them to opt out of the bowl game and I would not fault them for that. That would be a good reason to play younger guys that are coming back anyway.

SEC will come snooping around TigerTown with bags of NIL cash ... targeting Clemson's best players.
Hopefully it won't come to that.

I want to see that too.
Then, I'll wait to see what changes Dabo makes to his coaching staff.

I believe we will see improvement as the season plays out.
Unfortunately, it won’t be enough to accomplish all of our goals.
Win the opener: no Win the ACC: no Win the state championship: maybe Win the closer: maybe
And of course, the goal that Dabo smartly didn’t include as a goal - make the playoffs - that’s also a no. Again.
