I have a confession ITT
Jun 11, 2020, 10:33 AM
|
|
I have not had the balls yet to try Natty Light.
Until last night.
Walked over to the neighbor's because my daughter snuck over there. He offered me a Natty Light.
At first I was going to decline.
I mean, Natty Light is right there beside Busch in the beer isle. Yuck.
But my favorite beer is free. Second favorite is cold. And these being both, I caved.
It's actually pretty good.
Like a mix between Miller light and Bud light.
Will stock up the Yeti with some this weekend.
Carry on.

It’s really popular here in Mt P

A lot of people that I know have plenty of money to buy anything else on the shelves are always drinking it.
It’s like a hipster beer for wealthy people. Kinda bizarre to me.
HLT’s and Truly’s or Claws depending what’s on sale.

The faux outrage over drinking Natty Lt makes me laugh. It's a perfect boat beer. gets hot, flat? Who cares..toss it and get another.

Not sure why folks drink Bud Light over Natural Light.

Save the $2.00. Works out to about 8 extra cases for the same price every year. Now if your reason for drinking “Light” beers is health. I suggest Miller Lite. Slightly higher price but the taste and nutrition information is a win for Lite indeed. Now if your looking at strictly price for taste in the category we’re talking about, then I’d say go Original Pabst Blue Ribbon. Hard to beat a drinkable beer at a rock bottom price. And all of this advice is free of charge. Just imagine what you’d get in my MasterClass.

A year or two ago, HAMMS showed up around Columbia in pretty large numbers. Drank the crap out it for about a year and then it disappeared. I totally forgot about it until you posted this.

but I use it because it is one of the greatest photos I ever snapped. At a Drive-By Truckers show close to 20 years ago. In the early days, they used to set up this little display on their stage for every show.
It features everything you need for a fulfilled life.......
DBT concert stage. Elvis. Jesus protectively watching over the trucking industry. And a longneck PBR up in the corner.

Calories:
Natural Light: 95 Miller Lite: 96
Carbs:
Natural Light: 3.2 Miller Lite: 3.2
Protein:
Natural Light: 0.7 gram Miller Lite: < 1 gram
ABV:
Natural Light: 4.2% Miller Lite: 4.17%
In the tightest of races, looks like Natural light squeaks out a win on calories and price.

My favorite lite beer
Jun 11, 2020, 4:25 PM
|
|
For several years was Southpaw but Miller took it off the market I guess. Sure can’t find it. Narragansett Lite is extra good but hard to find also. Years ago I found Peter Hand and it was a good Chicago bottled beer but it’s gone too.
I was in Danville a few years ago and bought a 12 pack of Country Club in the pony cans. That was popular in Clemson in my day but most of us consumed Old Milwaukees in the 14 ounce cans for .25 - 30 cents, Ahhh the good ole days.

She asked me if she could talk to "that little girl"
Their daughter was standing at the ditch yelling for my daughter to come play.
I said sure.
Next thing I know, my family is over there for an hour.
